Building regulations and products are continually changing, although traditional building practices remain relatively constant. The industry has now become wrapped in a lot of red tape, for better or worse, and we now have Licensed Building Practitioners….or in the old language...trade qualified builders... that now belong to a registered list. Only an LBP can undertake or supervise Restricted Building Work. In essence this is all work that requires a Building Consent or Council approval, and Schedule 1 Consent Exempt Work.
